Description: ------------ I have some zip archives made on a 32 bit system that File_Archive happily extracts on other 32 bit systems, but not on 64 bit systems.

I notice problems even when I compress a ZIP on a 64 bit machine (it is a valid file, tested on 32 bit) and decompress on the same 64 bit machine. Sometimes, the first file is already truncated, sometimes the 2nd or 3rd. With the same files, the behaviour is reproducible.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
