Description: ------------ On both MacOS X 10.4 and CentOS 3.4 running PEAR 1.4.1 and 1.4.2, config-create appears to be broken. Following the instructions in the manual for installation of a local copy using SSH, I run this command: $ pear config-create /home/james/pear .pearrc Configuration file "/home/james/.pearrc" is empty The file .pearrc is created but is zero bytes. Expected result: ---------------- A local PEAR configuration file should be created. Actual result: -------------- A file of the correct name is created but is zero bytes.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
