Description: ------------ Trying to pass the -R option to the installer doesn't work, regardless what prefix i use (and wether it exits prior to running the pear command). crapola root # pear install -R /root/test DB downloading DB-1.5.0RC2.tgz ... Starting to download DB-1.5.0RC2.tgz (68,128 bytes) .................done: 68,128 bytes Reproduce code: --------------- pear install -R /root/test DB Expected result: ---------------- downloading DB-1.5.0RC2.tgz ... Starting to download DB-1.5.0RC2.tgz (68,128 bytes) .................done: 68,128 bytes install ok Actual result: -------------- downloading DB-1.5.0RC2.tgz ... Starting to download DB-1.5.0RC2.tgz (68,128 bytes) .................done: 68,128 bytes no script destination directory

My fault, my pear installation was incomplete.
