Description: ------------ Using PEAR 1.4.0a2. Since the pear installer allows for two package.xml files (package.xml and package2.xml) I would think that "pear package" would include both when making a package. Unfortunately, it seems to default to package.xml only. When using "pear package package2.xml" the only package.xml included is package2.xml. IMHO it should include both if they are present. Or perhaps "pear package" should include both. Or maybe I'm missing a command-line option or something.

I think automatically including both is a possibility, and I will consider it for the "pear package" command only. If there are any options specified, then it won't be safe to assume anything imo. Sound good?

Yes, that should be fine. I just don't want to have to manually create the package file. ;-) BTW, will there be any checking for differences between the two or will it just use package2.xml for packaging and include the package.xml?

This bug has been fixed in CVS. In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net. In case this was a pear.php.net website problem, the change will show up on the website in short time. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PEAR better.
