I run into troubles with the following code in the xml-parser:
function setInputFile($file)
{
$oldVal = false;
/**
* check, if file is a remote file
*/
if (eregi('^(http|ftp)://', substr($file, 0, 10))) {
if (!ini_get('safe_mode')) {
$oldVal = ini_set('allow_url_fopen', 1);
} else {
return $this->raiseError('Remote files cannot be parsed, as safe mode is enabled.', XML_PARSER_ERROR_REMOTE);
}
}
How could it set allow_url_fopen to 1? allow_url_fopen is only setable in php.ini or httpd.conf(PHP_INI_SYSTEM)..

This bug has been fixed in CVS.
In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net.
In case this was a pear.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.
