Description: ------------ Post method times out giving an error of "Timeout after 10 seconds, closing connection.; Unidentified response code". The problem lies in the method isConnected(). When you comment out the lines of 1140-1143 of the Net/NNTP/Protocol/Client.php, everything works as expected. I'm using latest version of Net_NNTP - 0.11.3 and PHP 5.0.2 (bug reporting form is missing that version) Reproduce code: --------------- require_once('Net/NNTP/Client.php'); $nntp = new Net_NNTP_Client(); $nntp->setDebug(true); $res = $nntp->connect('news.futuro.pl', 119); if (PEAR::isError($res)) {die($res->getMessage());} $from = 'martel <helpdesk@pro-futuro.com>'; $body = 'test'; $subject = 'test'; $res = $nntp->post('futuro.test', $subject, $body, $from, $additional); if (PEAR::isError($res)) { $res = $res->getUserinfo() . '; ' . $res->getMessage(); } var_dump($res); Expected result: ---------------- To be posted ok. Actual result: -------------- Timeout after 10 seconds, closing connection.; Unidentified response code

I haven't recieved any mail (maybe it was catched by a spam filter). I'm eager to help if you need me, though.
