Ok shame on me... the exception is thrown because of this: function exception_error_handler( $errno, $errstr, $errfile, $errline ) { throw new ErrorException( $errstr, 0, $errno, $errfile, $errline ); } set_error_handler( "exception_error_handler" ); But anyway... using deprecated stuff may lead to a bug in future :)

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release.
