REST information provides the ability to deprecate a package in favor of another on the same or a different channel, and the PEAR installer should use this information when users install a package or request additional information like remote-info

this may be pushed to a future version, but for now it is 1.5.0

This bug has been fixed in CVS.
If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET).
If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly.
Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release.
