In the scripts in the liveuser package their are windows linebreaks and returns. These result in bad output (M with underscore) in linux.
Maybe this could be resolved in the packager.
This bug is closely related to bug #92.

There are a few files like that indeed. Probably my fault, i'll correct that !

This bug has been fixed in CVS.
In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net.
In case this was a pear.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.

there were indeed many files in dos-format. Everything is back in order.
