In LiveUser::_storeCookiePasswdId() in the first if statement, it is checking if a non-existent file is writable.
Reproduce code:
---------------
- if (!is_writable($dir . "/$store.lu")) {
+ if (!is_writable($dir)) {
The new file isn't created until the next step.

This bug has been fixed in CVS.
In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net.
