feel free to ask for the co maintainership of Validate-us. If you like to help the current maintainer, please ask for a cvs account or request a karma update for /pear/validate Thanks, --Pierre

This bug has been fixed in CVS. In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net. In case this was a pear.php.net website problem, the change will show up on the website in short time. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PEAR better. I added most of this in CVS, but I already placed a patch with very similar thing, and more simple regex that did the same as yours ;) (all the tests actually worked, expect in one case, were areacode and postalcode was but no space nor dash, and I was told it wasn't legal anyway so I changed it to expect false on that one) So this is resolved :) Thanks! If you want to become a maintainer of the US part (a long with 1 or 2 other persons) then let us know! :) We're currently splitting the countries from Validate and moving them to their own packages, Validate_US and etc. - Helgi
