First of all one can't deny the similarities to Horde's Registry.php: While doing some quick source review, I discovered a few places, where the source code documentation was nearly identical, and apart from e.g. that singleton() method is *exactly* the same. In addition to this I do not think that this package fits into PEAR conceptionally: Due to its plugin concept, people who are used to work in other enviroments will not adapt it and will thus not benefit from it. (That's kind of similar to the discussion about including a MVC pattern implementation into PEAR.) |
