While I freely admit that I won't be using the proposed package (I use my own), I give my support for it as I think that PEAR should welcome competitive packages. I don't quite buy into the "merge with Flexy" argument and would like to remind that HTML_Select was accepted / revived even though the newer version of the *same* code existed within bigger HTML_QuickForm. If the people voted for lightweight alternative back then, then why should Savant / Flexy case be any different?.. |
