I think that the manager::createSequence method should allow the options for charset, collation, and engine to be set in the same way they can be set for createTable (see my recent bug 9450). Using both of those methods, I end up with a database that has a mixture of tables in the settings I want and the default settings of the server. It would ease my mind if I could get them to all be the same.
