Description: ------------ It'd be helpful if the introduction to PEAR_Auth's example mentioned that the custom login function is called with 3 parameters: the username, the status of the authentication, and the authentication object itself. It took me a little while to figure this out (had to look in the code) so that I could test the authentication status and provide user's feedback on failed logins.

Could you be a bit more specific ? (location in the doc, code that needs to be modified) Thank you,

I believe he is referring to function loginFunction in Example 28-2 at It would be helpful if it read: //takes three arguments: last attempted username, the authorization status, and the Auth object. //We won't use them in this simple demonstration--but you can use them to do neat things. function loginFunction($username='',$status=null,$auth=null) instead of the current function loginFunction()

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
