I just downloaded the latest version and i dont have any exmaples either.

That link is dead, and there is no content in git/svn; so those examples are lost to the depths opf time I am afraid

Examples are located on my website at: http://www.deadmarshes.com/mail_imap They will not be added to the PEAR package.
