Description: ------------ Hello. I've been trying to find the download link to download PEAR itself (not a specific package), but there is none apparently. In the Main section you are referring to a BAT file, an MSI for Windows installation, etc., but for the life of me I can't find anything of this kind on the website, and even Google and your Yahoo search don't seem to help. I'll appreciate help on this and for such a link to be more prominent on the website - perhaps as a separate section next to Main, Documentation, etc. Thanks! Stas

1) Front page. Bold text. PEAR is a framework and distribution system for reusable PHP components. Sounds good? Perhaps you might want to know about **installing PEAR on your system** or installing pear packages. Links to: http://pear.php.net/manual/en/installation.php which tells you how to get it 2) The package homepage for PEAR http://pear.php.net/package/PEAR/ **1.9.0** (stable) was released on 2009-09-03 (Changelog)

Thank you, I managed to get it working by downloading and running go-pear.php. Stas
