Description: ------------ starttls needs to be issued before attempting to bind. It might be wise to fail if starttls fails so as to avoid transmitting passwords in cleartext.

Thank you for reporting this, i thought this was already fixed by #14903. Please check out the latest CVS version and tell me if it works for you now, so i may close this ticket. Thank you for your patch!

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release.
