Description: ------------ When installing a package from a file, you are supplied with a link to "View package information". However, when you click on the link, the following message appears parsePackageName(): only channel:// uris may be downloaded, not "c:/Users/Username/[packagename]-0.1.2.tgz". Either it should be possible to view the package info, which I think would be the correct solution, or the link should not appear.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better. Hey Lars, I agree, and I thought a solution wasn't possible. But I've fixed it now by calling parsePackageName myself and if it errors on me, not displaying the link as you suggested. Thanks, Tias
