Description: ------------ The Documentation for Auth and Auth_HTTP is not as useful as may be desirable. Please advise a method by which the documentation as a whole for these two essential packages may be modified or updated, as I would be interested in contributing.

I've actually tried emailing this guy my changes to the auth http so the documentation was closer to how the thing worked. No response. The http.php is broken in a bad way, so I'm not sure what's going on with this project. I am sure, that I could write documentation that would get people actually working with digest, instead of scratching their head and wondering why it doesn't work like the documentation suggests it should. Yah that's right, this module doesn't even work. Changes required at line 247 that I posted in the other bug report will get it working again with apache 2.2.X. I'm here to rattle the cage of the developers to see if there's some kind of response indicating that they're alive.

Nice to see there's someone out there besides me who's been having this trouble. Considering it's been about a year since I posted this bug originally, I doubt there's anyone left working on the package anymore. I've since left PEAR modules for the Zend Framework (http:// framework.zend.com), which is much more robust, better documented, and more frequently updated. I've even considered contributing to the project. Heh heh, let's see if that "rattles any cages" around here.

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I didn't received the documentation update which you send. (The spam filter of my internet provider maybe recognized your e-mail as spam...) Could you send me (hirokawa at php dot net) again ?
