Description:

If I create a xls-File with a bitmap in it and open the file with Excel, I can see the image.
If I open it with OpenOffice 2.0, no image appears.
Test script:
---------------
$workbook = new Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer();
$workbook->send('test.xls');
$worksheet =& $workbook->addWorksheet('test');
$image='test.bmp';
$worksheet->insertBitmap(0, 0, $image);
$workbook->close();
Expected result:
----------------
An image in cell A1 in Excel and OpenOffice.
Actual result:
--------------
An image in cell A1 in Excel but not in OpenOffice.

it seems to be an open office bug : try to insert a bmp in a .xls with oo and then save it into excel 5.0 or 95 format.
if you save it in excel 97 format it seems to work.

I have submitted a bug report with OpenOffice for this http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=97079 as it is still reproducible with 0.9.1 + OpenOffice 3.0
