Description: ------------ If you try to request an empty URL with HTTP_Client this runs in: Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in ...PEAR/HTTP/Client.php on line 278 because the $request->_url object is empty. Expected result: ---------------- Would be nice to see some clear error message triggerd in this case.

HTTP_Request::sendRequest() already checks whether an URL was given and throws an error. Thus we should only check whether $request->_url is empty before making that particular, HTTP_Request will handle the rest.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
