Description: ------------ I'm pretty sure this is an old error popping up again, at least I seem to remember that I've seen such thing a few years ago. If trying to upgrade a package without sufficient FS permissions, I see this: $ pear upgrade-all Will upgrade channel://pear.php.net/xml_serializer WARNING: configuration download directory "/tmp/pear/download" is not writeable. Change download_dir config variable to a writeable dir to avoid this warning Release Warnings ================ C C

This bug has been fixed in SVN. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
