I can connect with the standard php syntax but I get errors sometimes when using the PEAR::DB package. If I am missing something, I will be more than happy to give you more information. This is due to a bug in PHP regarding sybase_free_result(). See http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=28354 . It has been fixed in CVS.
