Description: ------------ This is an addition to Bug #11998: We have already discussed that it is too much work (and maybe also kind of impossible) to make the user note submitter the reporter of the bug that is created from a user note. But IMHO it is still required to be able to respond to the note submitter. With the current implementation, the developers are not able to find to the name of the note submitter. Suggestion: In addition to the Manual page: packages... lines at the beginning of the generated bug, we should a two lines like Note submitter: Exam Ple <whoever(at)example(dot)com>

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better. Only problem with my implementation is that I'm doing a simple spam_protect call, that does the . = dot and @ = at replacing, the html one wasn't working out all that great and I encountered a person that has f.30303.fffff@example.com email which translates to the rather complex: f dot 30303 dot at example dot com But well I think that's rare and any decent programmer will spot what's happening instantly ;) Btw if it's a person with account then I rather use their handle and link to their account page.
