This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). I modified the patch a little (especially the $command->name = $name was wrong because $name can also be an instance of CommandLine_Command...) and committed the fixes this morning.
