There is a typo in example 22-2 (Passing an array to execute())
original:
$sth = $db->prepare('INSERT INTO numbers VALUES (?, ?, ?)');
$data = array(1, 'one', 'en');
$db->execute($sth, $row);
the variable $data should be $row:
$row = array(1, 'one', 'en');
$db->execute($sth, $row);
