I dont know which version of LiveUser you are using, but in the past versions there is no such code. There is however "$obj->_options['autoInit']". However the "$obj->_readConfig()" sets the _options property before hand. Furthermore there is an isset() call to determine if the 'autoInit' key is set.

In version 0.1.0 the method factory dont call $this->_readConfig().

This bug has been fixed in CVS.
In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net.
In case this was a pear.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.

doh you are of course right .. I looked at LiveUser and not LiveUser_Admin .. sorry and thx for your persistance!
