As Helgi Þormar Þorbjörnsson pointed out on twitter, go-pear.php isn't supported anymore, so maybe we don't want to fix this. But in this case, we have to update the documentation to reflect the current situation, and suggest the go-pear.phar for setting up pear, not the go-pear.php. In that case please remove go-pear.php alltogether.

This bug has been fixed in SVN. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release.
