Description:

A query for "co.za" results in errors.
Solution:
Change
$this->timeout
to
$this->_timeout
* Dns unable to resolve za.whois-servers.net
* Dns resolved co.za.whois-servers.net to 206.223.136.172
Better whois server lookup is required.
This also relates to bug #17478.
A patch will follow.

This bug has been fixed in SVN.
If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET).
If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly.
Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release.
