Drat. Any ideas on where they made it go?

I searched all over their website and couldn't find anything, I finally had to resort to archive.org to find an old copy of the file so I could at least keep things running. This whole approach seems pretty silly to me, why not just include the XML file with all the information needed, and if an update occurs (rarely) you can just release a new version of the package, or provide a manual way of updating the file that people can automate if they like.

This bug has been fixed in SVN. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
