Description: ------------ When I list all packages (eg: /index.php?command=list-packages ) or search for a package, I see the alpha versions instead of the latest stable versions, even when preferred_state is set to stable. For example, if I search for the Date package, I see 1.5.0a1, even though the latest stable version is 1.4.7 However, when I use Quick-install to install a package by name, the correct stable version is installed. For example, if I quick-install the Date package, version 1.4.7 is installed.

Why do you think this is a pearweb problem Daniel ? It clearly is not.
