Description: ------------ The post code list file (Validate/data/AU_postcodes.txt) is out of date. The official Australia Post postcode list can be downloaded from http://www1.auspost.com.au/download/pc-full.zip which contains a csv file with the list. To make it easier to generate a new list I put together a little script - sorry no docs except for the usage message. If you think it is useful I can document it properly. Expected result: ---------------- The postcode list would be updated regularly (and easily) Actual result: -------------- The postcode list is over 3 years old and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to update it.

Ah yeah, this is a problem I've got at work too. Haven't figured out a way programmatically that is quicker than: Download -> Unzip -> Openoffice -> Editplus / Gedit -> Sort, Remove duplicates -> Paste

Download -> Unzip -> Run Script -> Checkin is in improvement. It would probably be possible to use streams to handle the first 2 steps in the script, but I didn't get that far with it.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better. Spun off file process majigger to Request #15457
