Description: ------------ E.g. Number of open bugs: 2 (222 total bugs) http://pear.php.net/package/MDB2 But: http://pear.php.net/bugs/search.php?cmd=display&package_name[0]=MDB2 Shows 9 Is the number only relative to the latest release, or the package in general/total?

This is not a bug, if you look closely, the 7 other opened items are feature requests. There are 2 bugs opened.

Marking this as bogus.

Ok, that's correct - however the wording is still misleading. This is what we have: * a bug tracker to managed bugs and feature requests * a bug tracker which is really an issue tracker * "open bugs" (package home) links to all issues Proposed solutions: * rename Rename all instances of "bug(s)" to "issue(s)". I think a feature request is just as important as a bug. For example, a feature request may not block you like a critical bug, but it may just be as important to future development or for a use case. So if we refered to issues all together, maybe the meaning of some screens would become more evident. * "fix" links accordingly I think if you refer to bugs in one case it makes no sense to display feature requests as well (and the other way around).

I agree with david here and also renaming would be bad, in all fairness then a general report should be called ticket and should have sub sections of bugs/feature requests/etc I've tried to get that through but well no one in the team liked it so don't get your hopes up too high to get things renamed, people are anyway used to the old terms. At best we could add more to that "stats", i.e. overall tickets open, FR and Bugs open, so in total it would be 3 stats lines

I totally agree - it should be ticket or issue, but not bug. Sorry, in all fairness I don't see the issue peope have with renaming here. Issues are not all bugs, I think we can all agree on that. If people don't want to rename it all, one could at least fix the display and only display bugs when you click the link.

When I click "open bugs" on the MDB2 package page then I get only bugs, no feature requests, are you experiencing something different ?

not gonna happen. Get used to bug=bug in this case
