Description: ------------ Hi, I just installed pear 1.4.2 (go-pear,v 1.77), some simple commands are not working properly : Test script: --------------- >pear -d preferred_state=alpha remote-list Expected result: ---------------- show packages and releases of stable, beta, and alpha quality from pear.php.net. Actual result: -------------- Command 'ûd' is not valid, try 'pear help'

trying beta, or alpha, I also get this result : Command 'alpha' is not valid, try 'pear help' Command 'beta' is not valid, try 'pear help'

Windows XP splits on the = sign, so we get the equivalent of: pear -d preferred_state alpha remote-list use quotes like pear "-d preferred_state=alpha" remote-list and it works fine
