Net_Socket::readIPAddress()

Net_Socket::readIPAddress() – read an IP-address

Synopsis

require_once 'Net/Socket.php';

string Net_Socket::readIPAddress ( )

Description

Reads a IP from the socket. The function expects an integer which will converted to a IP address. This function only works with IPv4 addresses.

Return value

string - the data or a PEAR_Error

Throws

Possible PEAR_Error values
Error code Error message Reason Solution
NULL "not connected" There is no open connection. You must establish a connection before ( Net_Socket::connect()).

Note

This function can not be called statically.
