DB_common::quote()

DB_common::quote() -- DEPRECATED: Quotes a string

Synopsis

string quote (string $string)

Description

Quotes a string database-dependent, so it can be safely used in a query

This method has been deprecated. Use quoteSmart() or escapeSimple() instead.

Parameter

string $string

the input string to quote

Return value

string - the quoted string.

Note

This function can not be called statically.

Warning

This function is deprecated. That means that future versions of this package may not support it anymore.

Deprecated in release 1.6.0.
