Net_Socket::write() – write data

Synopsis

require_once 'Net/Socket.php';

boolean Net_Socket::write ( string $data )

Description

Write data to a socket connection

Parameter

  • string $data - the data to write

Return value

boolean - Returns TRUE on success, PEAR_Error on failure.

Throws

Possible PEAR_Error values
Error code Error message Reason Solution
NULL "not connected" There is no open connection. You must establish a connection before ( Net_Socket::connect()).

Note

This function can not be called statically.
