Description: ------------ When using a colspan for a cell, the generated HTML output includes a <!-- span --> comment for each column skipped in the table by the colspan. In very large tables, this creates a lot of extra output in the HTML. By removing this print (or at least making it optional), a lot of data transfer can be saved by reducing the amount of generated HTML for tables.

I have removed in the comment in the CVS code as it is really useless. I'll wait for comments about this (minor) BC (= backwards compatibility) break from other developers before I make a new release.

There were no complaints about the change => a new release is available now.
