Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PEAR itself. For a list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PEAR, please visit as this bug system is not the appropriate forum for asking support questions. Thank you for your interest in PEAR. It's meant for documentation and not as a program by itself

I'm aware that's it's for documentation, however: - Many people use the examples to get a feel for their code, so there's a chance people will put that in their code, where it won't work. - The script is not runnable at all when the package is installed; that path is only valid in the CVS working directory, which most people won't have handy. For those reasons, I think the the patch should be applied.
