Please use getaddrinfo() inside Net::SMTP and let it connect to IPv6 sockets if getaddrinfo() returns an IPv6 address as preferred.

Sorry, but I can't/won't make this change in the Net_SMTP package itself. We use the
Net_Socket package for all of our socket-related work, so the change would need to

Maybe you could just reassign it then instead of setting it to wontfix?
