Description: ------------ At present the script assumes that all sub top level domains use the same whois server. They don't. For example: .co.uk uses whois.nic.uk while .ac.uk uses whois.ja.net .gov.uk uses whois.ja.net .uk isn't the only sTLD affected by this either, .za domains also share this issue. The solution is to use .whois-servers.net in a different way. At present it is grabbing the last domain part (the tld) and using that to prefix to the tail host, however, it should check to see if a record for the last 2 domain parts (stld) exists first. Test script: --------------- Try with any .ac.uk domain: http://www.google.com/search?q=site:.ac.uk Eg: hrsfc.ac.uk Expected result: ---------------- [whois results for hrsfc.ac.uk domain] Actual result: -------------- Error for "hrsfc.ac.uk". Nominet is not the registry for this domain name.
