Description: ------------ It would be very nice to have this progress bar use be able to call a php status function using ajax xmlrequest method. See: http://www.adaptivepath.com/publications/essays/archives/000385.php Or for a toolkit: http://www.modernmethod.com/sajax/

Just a few note to keep you aware that it's a feature request , and not a bug. i've fixed the right type. I'll have a look on this later. But just to to remember that HTML_Progress2 is still developped with PHP4 and do not used the new PHP5 programming pattern. regards

I just would like to mention that sajax is totally ugly. The backend is just.. awfull and I do not recommend it for anything unless it's recoded from scratch. We were just having a discussion about this the kind of function that has $result = call_user_func_array($func_name, $args); or function sajax_get_my_uri() { global $REQUEST_URI; return $REQUEST_URI; } I'm sorry if I sound a little arsh but, I really love ajax, but sajax has a nice red cross on it saying don't touch me. So yeah that was just a comment but the idea of a progress bar is a good idea. </regards> -David

I'm also interested in this... any comment from the developer on how to make this happen? I'd be happy to work on it.

I'm working on a draft of AJAX progress bar that should work fine for PHP 4 and PHP 5. AJAX engine will be free to use. I'll begin with Yahoo UI container first. More Javascript frameworks will follow and will be available for stable release 2.3.0 To be continue with version 2.3.0 alpha 1
