Description: ------------ go-pear.php is deprecated way to install pear, but for browser based installation, it still the only available option. If I somehow missed, and the go-pear.phar supports web based installation, then the "PEAR in hosting environments" at http://pear.php.net/manual/en/installation.getting.php should be updated and http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=18217 could be closed, but from the quick look, it seems that browser based install is only possible through the go-pear.php the problem is, that go-pear.php is still referencing the bootstrap files from svn.php.net, and those were removed when we moved the pear packages to github. this issue can be solved either updating the urls to contain the last revision before the removal, or updating the urls with the github ones. for the record here are the last available svn urls: 'PEAR.php' => 'http://svn.php.net/viewvc/pear/pear- core/branches/PEAR_1_4/PEAR.php? view=co&pathrev=319707', 'Archive/Tar.php' => 'http://svn.php.net/viewvc/pear/packages/Archive_Tar/tags/A rchive_Tar-1.3.7/Archive/Tar.php?view=co&pathrev=325163', 'Console/Getopt.php' => 'http://svn.php.net/viewvc/pear/pear- core/branches/PEAR_1_4/Console/Getopt.php? view=co&pathrev=319707',

This bug has been fixed in SVN. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
