Description: ------------ Would you release 1.2.0b2 as a stable, please. Reason I'm asking is that I use mail() on shared hosts and the providers won't upgrade to betas. Thus, I'm stuck with using the old 1.1.14

pearweb is suffering a few problems with subscribing to mailing lists, and extra CRs in mail headers. I'm personally suspecting regression in Mail :( See Bug #16138 It's using Mail 1.2.0b2 Additionally, there are 4 open bugs that should get closed first

I looked at the open bugs: #16349: send() always uses SSL for Authenticated SMTP bug is in Net_SMTP not Mail... #13659: Mail parse error in special condition has an attached patch #14807: Failed "From" validation on Windows-1251 encoding bug is either in iconv_encode_header() or more likely in Mail_mime... the header is not correctly encoded #12557: Use mb_send_mail() if available only a feature request... attached a patch #13587: relay params like "NOTIFY=SUCCESS,FAILURE" only a feature request... attached a patch The other bugs are requests about disabling address verification and surpressing php warnings... nothing critical... oh and #15620 about changing package license... not my playground ;) So the only remaining issue seems to be #16138...

This bug has been fixed in SVN. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better. 1.2.0 released
