Description: ------------ Because the protocol is set after bind(), I get a LDAP_PROTOCOL error. First setting the version fixes this. allow bind_v2 is not a default option of openldap.

Can you provide more of a reproduce script for those of us not familiar with the package.

Thank you for reporting this bug; this is the opposite of Bug #16390, which had a problem with reverse ordering of bind and setLDAPVersion(). I introduced code to CVS a few minutes ago that should fix the issue. Please try LDAP2.php v1.29 from CVS, that should solve your issue. If it works, please let me know so i can close this bug.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better. Thanks for your feedback!
